#INDIGENOUSPEOPLES
 

Skábmagovat – Indigenous Peoples’ Film Festival takes place annually in Inari. The festival's art director Jorma Lehtola has curated a new Sámi short film series for Savonlinna International Film Festival. Nature lives strong in life and in the films. The effects of Covid-19 are also visible, as all the films have been completed in 2020-2021. The total length of the film screening is 53 mins.
 

*After the screening journalist and author Kukka Ranta will moderate a talk on Sámi short films and the themes of the series. Kukka Ranta will be accompanied by environmental and Sámi activist Janne Hirvasvuopio. Note: The talk will be held in Finnish.
