Venues

All of the Savonlinna International Nature Film Festival venues are located in the city center.
You can easily walk or cycle between the venues while enjoying the beautiful lake scenery.
You can find a map of all the locations of the venues at the end of this page.

Kulttuurikellari

Olavinkatu 34, Savonlinna

This cosy and welcoming venue has an accessible street-level bar-cafe and downstairs there's the elegant main hall that can seat up to 220 people. The venue has previously worked as a film theatre and it suits well for nature film screenings. Upstairs at the street-level we host the discussions and art exhibitions.

Accessibility
Kulttuurikellari's restaurant upstairs is completely accessible and is located by the main entrance. It also has an accessible toilet. Kulttuurikellari is in two floors with steps. Therefore, we can't guarantee fully accessible passage to all areas. You can access downstairs through the courtyard assisted through few steps. Killa

Punkaharjuntie 3, Savonlinna

One of the Savonlinna's current movie theatres is acting as one of our festival's venues and it can seat up to 139 (+ 2 spaces for wheelchairs) nature film enthusiasts.

Accessibility
You can access Killa with wheelchair through the main entrance located on the courtyard of the building. Killa has two wheelchair spaces. Please contact us by sinff@sinff.fi in case you are attending with a wheelchair, so we can prepare to open doors and can arrange assistant for you. Kuvalinna

Olavinkatu 13, Savonlinna

Kuvalinna cinema is an atmospheric movie theatre, where the Savonlinna's theatre has previously functioned. The theatre can seat up to 179 spectators.

Accessibility
Kuvalinna is not accessible for customers with a wheelchair.

Riihisaari

On these rocks we host the beloved outdoor movie picnic and project movies to the wall of the Lake Saimaa Nature and Museum centre. The Riihisaari island is close to Olavinlinna, so by following the signs to Savonlinna's medieval castle, you'll find your way to the picnic.

Accessibility
The museum building is accessible, and the museum has one disabled parking spot. The museum boats are not accessible for customers with a wheelchair. Movie picnic is held in the Riihisaari courtyard by accessible pavement. The yard is partly rocky.

Sulosaari

On Sulosaari island we have the outdoor forest screening . You can find your way to the island by following sings to Kalliolinna cafe. Sulosaari is situated behind Kasinonsaari island and it's one kilometer long walk from Savonlinna's train stop.

Accessibility

Sulosaari area is rough to navigate and therefore is not accessible for everyone.

House of Olaf

Asemantie 19, Savonlinna

The newly opened House of Olaf is one of the festival venues and it will host this years festival club. House of Olaf is situated in a historical warehouse building and it is 1,5 kilometers away from Savonlinna's market square. There is a bar at the venue. The venue can seat up to 410 spectators.
